Nissan has released a teaser for the updated Kicks compact crossover for the North American market. The car will premiere next week, December 8, 2020.
We expect The American Nissan Kicks to match Japan's updated version, which debuted six months earlier. The crossover will receive an enlarged V-motion grille with a new pattern, narrower headlights, and different air intakes.
According to preliminary data, the Nissan Kicks will be available with an e-Power hybrid powertrain. A 1.2-liter petrol turbo engine acts as a generator to recharge batteries on the go. At the same time, a 129-horsepower electric unit transmits traction to the wheels. It is possible that the current 1.6-liter naturally aspirated 124 horsepower will remain in the lineup.
Plus, in some markets, Kicks is offered a new, 1.33-liter turbo engine developed with Daimler. For example, on the updated Nissan Kicks for India, this unit produces 156 hp and 254 Nm of torque. The machine works with a six-speed manual transmission or with a Variator.
Nissan will also unveil the updated Armada large SUV on December 8, which we expect Nissan to style after the new Nissan Patrol unveiled last year. Inside, the car, like the Infiniti QX80, will have two central touchscreen displays, one of which will be responsible for multimedia and the other for controlling the car's primary functions.
