Audi has unveiled the A3 Sportback 45 TFSI e hatchback, which can drive exclusively on electric traction up to 60 kilometers
Audi has unveiled a sports version of the new generation A3 hatchback, which has a 245-horsepower plug-in hybrid setup with battery recharge. The car received units that are used, for example, on the new Volkswagen Golf GTE and Skoda Octavia RS.
The power plant of the Audi A3 Sportback, 45 TFSI e, is based on 1.4-liter petrol "turbo-four," working together with an electric engine powered by a 13-kilowatt-hour battery. The electric motor is integrated into a six-speed automatic transmission with two clutches.
The hatchback can accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in 6.8 seconds, and its top speed is 232 km per hour. The vehicle can travel approximately 60 kilometers on purely electric traction. The batteries can be fully recharged using a regular household outlet in about 5 hours.
The novelty's standard equipment includes LED matrix headlights, tinted windows, dual-zone climate control, sports seats, and the Audi drive select system for selecting driving modes. You can change the settings of the power unit, transmission, and steering. In Germany, car prices start at 40.4 thousand euros.
As for the USA, the new Audi A3 is coming as a sedan with no Sportback version.
