Ford has unveiled a new version of the new generation F-150 pickup called Tremor, adapted for severe off-road driving. Ford will locate this variant in the model family between F-150 FX4 and the extreme modification Raptor.
The Ford F-150 Tremor is only available with a SuperCrew double cab and a 1.7-meter load bed. Externally, the pickup differs from a regular car by a modernized radiator grille with an orange stripe in the middle, two towing eyes, 18-inch alloy wheels, General Grabber off-road tires, two exhaust pipes, and reinforced underbody protection.
As for the technical component, the car received a significantly modernized suspension with reinforced single-tube shock absorbers at the front and two-tube shock absorbers at the rear and new springs, levers, and steering knuckles. Besides, Ford equipped the pickup with a limited-slip differential on the rear axle, and a transfer case from the Raptor modification is available for the full versions. The Ford F-150 Tremor will be available with a no-alternative 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Prices for the new product, the serial production of which will begin no earlier than mid-2021, have not yet been announced.
The standard new-generation Ford F-150 debuted in the summer of 2020. The model did not change much in appearance. However, it received a lightweight body with an increased share of aluminum, and for the first time in its history, it became available with a hybrid power plant.
